B I O

A California native, I was born to parents who harbored a great appreciation for music and the arts. As soon as I could walk, I could be found at the piano or reaching for a 110 film camera.

I lived my life from behind the lens for many years. From shooting manually to processing my own B&W prints, I found there's something a picture can do to express a piece of the soul that words just can't. With more than 30 years with a camera in hand and 15 of those in serious study of the art, I switched my focus to in front of the lens.

I have been modeling for photography since 2010, but became serious about it late 2014. I feel that full body-love and acceptance is vital to thrive in today's society. My hope is that one day the human body will stop being oversexualized, and that every living being may become comfortable in their own skin.

What pictures can't convey, I leave to paint. I remember the moment my mom let me touch watercolors for the first time. There was this feeling that a whole world had opened up to me. Now I paint with thick acrylics. I prefer texture that mimics oil painting, and at times use mixed media (cloth, copper, stones, etc.) and pastes to add to the expression of my work. I am usually found painting large-format pieces, and like building and stretching my own canvases.

My current passions include flow arts, cooking, camping, traveling, and ART.

Welcome to the art of living in the NOW.
